A personal assessment, run by your agent

Not every skill is for a room. The Advantage Compass is a solo folder: two axes — strength×weakness, vision×pain — four quadrants, a two-week time audit, one committed move. With the skill installed, your agent becomes the proctor: it fetches the cards, keeps the timing honest, and turns your answers into a report without inventing interpretations.

Install the skill

three lines

curl -LO https://workshopskill.com/en/activities/advantage-compass/files/advantage-compass.zip unzip advantage-compass.zip mv advantage-compass ~/.claude/skills/ # or your agent's skills path

Take the measure — paper or live

Paper lane: the agent prints the poker card deck and the participant workbook; you fill the six Likert items and the time audit by hand, then hand the pages back to be digitized. Live lane: the same six items become a running FormLM form — same items, same reverse-scoring, and the two-week re-run is a copy of the form, not a re-assembly.

the live option

formlm-cli smart generate --input "<the folder's own spec, from assessment.json>" # 6 items, 3-5 reverse-scored, two open questions: # time audit hours per quadrant + one committed move with a date

Interpretation, with theory behind it

The folder deliberately stops at your quadrant and your move — it does not psychoanalyze. For the machinery underneath (why self-assessment scales, reverse-scored items, quadrant models), the skill page cites the career-direction assessment cluster on AssessWiki: free, sourced theory pages your agent can read alongside the preset, so the conversation about your results stands on references, not vibes.

The re-run is the point

Monthly, same six items, new time audit. The delta — not the score — tells you whether the committed move moved anything. Your agent can diff the two runs; the folder's debrief questions decide what counts as progress.

questions

Is this a substitute for career coaching?

No — it is a structured mirror: self-reported items, a time audit, one commitment. The interpretation guardrails are written into the folder for a reason.

Why reverse-scored items?

To catch acquiescence bias — the preset already does it (items 3-5), and the guide explains which answers should move opposite. AssessWiki's measurement pages go deeper.

Can my agent run it for a whole team?

Yes — one form, per-person links; report at the individual level only with consent, patterns at team level.
